NASHUA, N.H. — Fresh off their fifth consecutive state title, several members of the Bishop Guertin Boys Lacrosse team have earned prestigious individual accolades for their excellence both on the field and in the classroom in 2025.
Juniors Camden Hayden and Owen King, along with seniors Michael Ponto and Paulo Vazquez were named to the 2025 USA Lacrosse All-America Team for their outstanding play on the field this spring in leading the Cardinals to yet another New Hampshire Division I State Championship. Only eight players from the entire Granite State earned All-America recognition with BG garnering half the total.
Ponto and Vanquez will continue their playing careers in college next year. Ponto is attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, while Vasquez is headed to play at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
Additionally, senior defender Noah Guarrera was tabbed as one of just eight New Hampshire lacrosse student-athletes on the boys’ side to earn Academic All-America honors. Guarrera graduated from Bishop Guertin earlier this month as one of the Class of 2025’s Top Scholars with a grade-point average above 4.0, while also earning the Physical Science Departmental Award. He will be attending Florida Institute of Technology this fall where he will study engineering and play on the Panthers’ lacrosse team.
